European Proyect Liquid Micro Pulsed Plasma Thruster

JMP Ingenieros will lead "the first European project to promote nano satellites".

So, "direct and coordinate the Project Liquid Micro Pulsed Plasma Thruster L-uPPT, which is part of the Seventh Framework Programme in Section Space, and funded by the European Union."

On Tuesday November 15 meet in La Rioja "countries and companies that will participate in this project." The project has an investment of 2.5 million euros, and European funding is 2 million. The joint participation of
JMP and NASP represents 40 percent of the overall project. The duration is three years from November 1.

Its main advantage is that "the only global electromagnetic propulsion system based on plasma and clean liquid fuel (Pulsed Plasma Thruster, PPT), in order to propel nanosatellites weighing between 1 and 5 kg, reducing and minimizing the total weight of the system and its corresponding impact on the overall mass budget of it.
